Alcohol Ink Lift Technique

Hello, crafty friends. Happy New Year. I have two cards to share today that came from one Alcohol Lift technique.

To create these cards, I started by applying blue alcohol ink to a piece of THIS Yupo paper. Once dry, I stamped it with THIS background stamp using THIS alcohol lift ink. After each stamping, I made sure to wipe in circular motions to intensify the image. I also stamped off the ink on to a piece of white cardstock to get a second print (the card on the right) after each stamping. I love when you can get two cards from one technique!

For the first card…

I adhered the alcohol piece down to a white note card framed with THIS die cut from white cardstock. I cut THIS die from vellum and adhered it behind a circle cut from THIS die that has a sentiment from THIS stamp set. I finished it off with a few navy pearls.

For the second card…

I did the same design by used blue cardstock for the frame and circle instead of white, white heat embossed the sentiment, and used white cardstock for the flower die.

I also stamped the flap of the envelope using a floral image from THIS stamp set to tie everything together…

I hope this inspires you to try this 2 for 1 technique. It’s so fun!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!
