Yupo Translucent Alcohol Ink Backgrounds

Hello there, crafty friends. I have two cards to share that feature alcohol ink backgrounds that were created on THIS Yupo Translucent Paper…

I usually create Alcohol Ink Backgrounds on white Yupo paper but wanted to try the translucent Yupo paper I had in my stash. I love that it gives a different look and was able to turn one of the cards into a window card using it. More on that in a bit.

To create the first card, I applied alcohol ink on to the Yupo Translucent paper with some rubbing alcohol to get it to blend and move. I added it to a white top folded notecard by using foam adhesive along the top and bottom of the alcohol panel. Lifting it off a bit helps highlight the translucent look of it. I added a strip of white cardstock along the top and bottom along with a thin black strip. I used THIS embossing folder on the bottom piece for some added interest. I finished off the design with THIS die cut sentiment…

For the second card, I made a see through element using the panel. I applied the alcohol ink in the same way using different colors but sandwiched it between the top and bottom panel and finished it off with THIS die cut sentiment…

Here’s a closer look at the inside of the card to give you a closer look at the see through piece…

I hope this inspires you to create an alcohol ink background using translucent Yupo paper.

Thank you so much for visiting today. I hope you have a great day.
