Printmaking Birds Card Set

Hi there, crafty friends. I have a card set to share today using products from THIS STAMPtember release…
I started by stamping the birds image from THIS stamp set twice on a strip of white cardstock, one above and one below. I stamped the layers using two inks in the same color family for each card. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set in the middle and trimmed down the panel to 3 x 5.25 inches. Next, I stamped a 1 inch piece of cardstock using a background stamp for each card. I also cut a thin strip of gray cardstock for each card.

Here’s a closer look…

Before adhering the pieces down, I made some changes to my card base. I started with 4 x 5.25 inch card bases and trimmed off 1 inch from the side of the front panel of the card. I adhered bird stamped piece to that front panel and the stamped background strip to the right hand side of the inside panel.

Here’s a closer look…

To give a more finished look, I adhered the gray strip of cardstock to the edge of the front panel. I also rounded the right hand corners of the card.

Here’s a closer look…

For the first card, I used THIS background stamp for the strip and on the envelope flap…
For the second card, I used THIS background stamp for the strip and on the envelope flap…

For the last card, I used THIS background stamp for the strip and on the envelope flap…
I also decorated the inside of each card by stamping the remaining part of the sentiment as well as a bird image that I die-cut with THIS coordinating die…

I hope this inspires you to mix up your card design and bring the inside of the card into the design.

Thank you for stopping by. Happy crafting!
