Sunflowers and Daisies Card Kit

Hello, crafty friends. I’m back today with a couple of cards featuring THIS card kit from Simon Says Stamp…

For the first card…

I spritzed the main image from the kit’s stamp set with water and then colored the stamp with Distress Watercolor Pencils. I spritzed the image again before stamping on to a piece of white cardstock. I repeated the process a couple of times to intensify the color. I love the watercolor look the pencils give…

I die-cut the panel with THIS arched die. I white heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set on a strip of brown card stock. I adhered the piece to green panel. To create the green panel, I ink blended some Distress Oxide ink on to a piece of green cardstock and spritzed some water on top for some texture.

For the second card…

I used the layering stencils in the kit and applied ink to each layer. First, I did a layer of white pigment ink on all the stencil layers and let that dry. The reason I did this first before adding the color ink is because it will help the colors be true in color when working on color card stock. I used the same design to create this card. I adhered the piece to a brown inked background.

Here’s a closer look…
I also wanted to share a side by side comparison of another piece I inked up that I messed up on. The one on the right is just ink. The card on the left is the same inked panel but I added Copic Marker detail to it. It really makes the image pop…
