Foiled Acetate Tri-fold Card

Hi, crafty friends. Today’s card is a tri-fold card featuring an foiled acetate window…

To create this card, I started by adding foil to the front of one of THESE printed acetate sheets and running it through my MINC machine to apply the foil to the design. Next, I die cut one of THESE dies from the front of a white side folding note card. I applied double sided tape to all four sides and adhered the foiled acetate piece on top creating a window. I applied more double sided tape to the front of the acetate sides so I can place a frame on top (cut with the same rectangle die to cut the window out). I cut one more frame to put on the back inside as well to give the front more stability.

I added one of THESE printed sentiments. I also added heart embellishments created with THIS toner paper and foil and then cut with THESE dies.

I added white die cuts to the inside back behind the sentiment and hearts to give it a clean look and hid the adhesive. I wanted to make this card a tri-fold card to add a place to write a sentiment since the front of the card is clear. I adhered another did folding card to the back of the first card but adhered it int he opposite direction. This creates a fun fold and it allowed me to add another sentiment and a few embellishments. I placed them behind the elements on the front of the card so they are hidden when the card is closed…

When the recipient opens that second fold, there is plenty of space to write a personal message…

I also applied ink through THIS stencil on the flap of the envelope to tie everything together…

I hope this has inspired you to try a foiled acetate window tri-fold card.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!
