Season of Sentiments Card Kit

Hi, crafty friends. I have a card set to share today that features the February Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp…

I started by stamping the large floral image from the Orchid Rose Bouquet Stamp set on six pieces of Concord & 9th cardstock panels. I used the coordinating ink color and stamped it repeatedly to get a darker image. I adhered the pieces to a top folding, white notecard and rounded the two bottom corners. Next, I stamped sentiments from the kit’s Thank You stamp set in the coordinating color for each on a die-cut banner. I die-cut several thank you dies from toner sheets and ran them through my laminator with foil on top creating foil die-cuts. I adhered those and the banners to the bottom right of each card and added a few die-cut hearts cut from white glitter paper to finish off the design.

Here’s a closer look at each card…

A few of the die-cut words have a shadow layer. I cut those from vellum so the background image would still show through…

I added a bit of crystal glaze on top of each heart for some shine…

I will be giving this card set as a gift so I wanted to make the envelopes special too. I stamped the same floral image on the flap of each white envelope in the coordinating color…
I hope this inspires you to not only create a cards set as a gift, but use those large floral images for a tone on tone look. They don’t always have to be colored to be beautiful.

You can find out more about the card kit HERE.

Thank you so much for spending some time here today. Happy crafting!
