Handmade Holiday Release Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends. I’m excited to be part of THIS Blog Hop celebrating THIS new release from Simon Says Stamp.

To create this card, I started by ink blending the background using Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire, and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Inks. After it was dry, I added Glitter Glitz gel through the Holiday Boho Circle Stencil. I die-cut the First Night Die multiple times and adhered them together. I added it to the background and die-cut some of the parts with metallic cardstock and inlaid them in place.

I finished off the design by adding a printed sentiment strip. Here’s a closer look…

Also, I applied ink through the same stencil on the front of the envelope. I masked off the center of the design to leave an open area to write the recipient’s address…

Great holiday cards! I especially like the way you used the mandala stencil with the nativity. I wouldn’t have thought to pair the two but they work beautifully together. Clever use of that stencil for the envelope, too. Thanks for all the great inspiration!

I love the nativity so much. Piecing the metallic was very nice, but I’m having a hard time seeing Jesus in the manger. Which is perfect for me, because I like to put Him in the manger on Christmas morning.
