Santa’s Helpers Card Kit

Hello, crafty friends. Today’s card features the new card kit from Simon Says Stamp…

To create this card, I started by stamping a trio of elf images from the Santa’s Helpers stamp set (included in the kit) on a slimline panel and colored them in with Copic Markers. I also stamped the images on masking paper and fussy cut them out. After placing them on top of the stamped images, I applied a strip of masking paper along the bottom and applied brown ink to create a floor. I also masked off a white line above to resemble molding. I masked that area off to apply Peacock Feathers Distress ink above that to add color to the background. I also stamped the snowflake image from the stamp set to resemble a wallpaper print. I added small white dots to the pattern with a gel pen for more interest.

Here’s a closer look…

I finished off the design by stamping a coordinating sentiment and added crystal glaze to some of the details for added interest.

I hope this inspires you to create a one layer scene card.
