Love You and Love You, Too Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends. I’m so excited to be part of THIS blog hop celebrating THIS new release as well as THIS previous release.

I’m sharing a card set featuring an easy way to add color to flower images…

I started by ink blending through one of THESE stencil masks to create a rectangle of color. I used three different shades of Distress ink on each panel. I sprayed a few water drops on top to create some interest and texture. After it was completely dry, I stamped the images from THIS new stamp set on top with THIS ink. I added some clear embossing powder on top with some heat for some extra shine. Since these are simple, one layer cards, the heat embossing makes a big difference and makes them pop. I did the same process for the sentiment from THIS stamp set.

Here’s a closer look at each card as well as what Distress Oxide Ink combo I used…

Distress Oxide Ink Combo starting from top: Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries

Distress Oxide Ink Combo starting from top: Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin

Distress Oxide Ink Combo starting from top: Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers

Distress Oxide Ink Combo starting from top: Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch

Another thing to note…the 6×8 stamp set I used included four floral images. I encourage you to look through your stamp sets and find ones that have multiple images that are different but similar in style. They make great card sets!
