SSS Encouraging Words Blog Hop- Part 2

Hi, friends. I’m thrilled to be taking part in the SSS Encouraging Words Blog Hop. THIS release is full of awesome product, but THIS is my favorite. The images are adorable and I used all of the critters to create these cards…

For all the cards, I used a partial embossing technique to create a focal point on each card. I haven’t reached for my embossing folders in awhile, so I broke them out and dry embossed two sides of each card, leaving the center flat to create a focal point.

I stamped each coordinating sentiments multiple times to draw attention to the images and give them a place to “sit”. Here’s a closer look at each card…

I used a portion of THIS scalloped die to add some interest to the bottom of this card….

I did the same with this card, but used a portion of THIS die along the bottom…

THIS embossing folder is my favorite. It gives an awesome 3-D effect (which is hard to photograph but it so cool in real life)…

I hope you give this partial embossing a try. It gives great dimension without the bulk.

What an awesome way to use embossing folders! I get so stuck using products in only the way they were originally made to be used but by following all you amazing designers I have truly learned so many ways to use my products in new and exciting ways. I havent reached for my embossing folders in quite some time but I am going to dust them off(lol) and try your creative idea! As well I just love your use of the sentiments to ground the cute critters, yet another great idea Ill be stealing lol! Thanks so much for sharing!
