Reverse Confetti Gift Card Holders + Video

Happy Friday, crafty friends. Reverse Confetti has a new release HERE and today’s cards feature some of the new products…
I give a lot of gift cards for birthdays and the holidays and I’m always looking for a way to dress them up to make them feel a bit more personal. Today’s card examples also have a hidden sentiment that is revealed when the recipient removes the gift card for something fun and unexpected.

You can watch the video on how I created these cards HERE or click on the video below…

First, I stamped all of the images from this Birthday Buddies stamp set. I always like to stamp all the images in a stamp set at once and die-cut them even if I don’t use them right away because they are great to have on hand to make a quick card when you have limited time. I also like to have cardstock on hand that is cut to the size of my Misti so that I can stamp lots of images at once.

Next, I die-cut this Circle Gift Card Holder from kraft cardstock. This die is my favorite from the new release. I love the line and stitching details it creates as well as the flaps to hold the gift card. I adhered the piece to a top folding white note card, making sure to not add any adhesive to those two flaps that hold the gift card in place.

Now it’s time to stamp the sentiments. I chose two sentiments from this Birthday Buddies Banter stamp set that coordinated with the turtle image I’m going to use.

Once the sentiments were stamped, I colored the images off screen and die-cut a few extra solid pieces to layer behind the images for dimension. I added some crystal glaze to the balloons to give them some shine. Since the image will be going over the gift card area, I needed to raise up the images so the gift card would not be blocked when I slide the gift card in place. I did this by first sandwiching the balloon image between two turtle image die-cuts. I also added foam tape to the back of the turtle to give him more height as well as a few pieces of tape behind the top of the balloons to give more stability.

When the recipient removes the gift card, another sentiment is revealed. I love that this sentiment isn’t completed until the gift card is removed…

Here is another example…

I love making multiple cards from one design…
Also, a big Happy Birthday to Reverse Confetti as they are celebrating their ninth birthday!
