Hello again, crafty friends. Today’s cards feature THIS new card kit from Simon Says Stamp…
I started by creating the backgrounds. I used the kit’s embossing folder and embossed the pattern on white cardstock. I ink blended on top and used THIS die to cut the circle openings. I applied a light coat of white pigment ink on top of the pattern using my brayer to really make the embossing stand out. This is a trick I learned from Jennifer McGuire. She shares more about that in a video HERE.
I stamped the images from the kit’s stamp set in black on a white piece of cardstock and adhered them behind the openings…
Once the white pigment ink was completely dry, I stamped a coordinating sentiment at the bottom of each card using my MISTI. Since it is an embossed surface, I stamped several times. Any places that didn’t want to stamp, I colored in with a black marker.
I also used the same embossing folder on the flap of the envelopes to tie everything together…
