Hello there, crafty friends. Today’s card share features products from THIS new release by Reverse Confetti. It’s a special release because Reverse Confetti is celebrating their 9th birthday. Happy Birthday to Reverse Confetti!
To create this card, I stamped the floral image from the Wildflowers Stamp Set on pink cardstock using pink ink for a tone on tone look. I die-cut the Big Polkas Cover Panel from white cardstock and adhered it on top so the flower image peeks out from behind the circles. I stamped the large butterfly image from the A Beautiful Day Stamp Set on yellow cardstock using yellow ink. Again for a tone on tone look. I used the coordinating die to cut it out. I took a yellow Copic and added a bit of shading for some added interest. I also added some shimmer pen for some shine. I cut the Layered Friend die from black glossy cardstock for the shadow and white cardstock for the word. I stamped a sub sentiment from the Better With Friends Stamp Set.
I want to make the butterfly move and resemble flying so I die-cut a small circle from the polka dot background. I die-cut a larger circle (just a bit bigger than the first circle) and placed a foam square in the center. I placed the foam square in the center of the small circle opening in the background and adhered the butterfly to the foam square. I added foam squares all along the back side of the background panel to adhere to the card base. Make sure to leave room around the circle element so the image can move freely. Also, I made sure to adhere the sentiment below the butterfly as a stopper so it would not be able to go upside down.
Now, when the recipient shakes the card, the butterfly flies! You can see it in action over on Instagram HERE. (Swipe through the pictures for the video at the end.)
I also stamped the flap of an envelope with the smaller butterfly image from the A Beautiful Day Stamp Set to tie it all together…
