SSS Special Edition Halloween Card Kit Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. I’m thrilled to be part of this blog hop celebrating Simon Says Stamp’s Special Edition Halloween Card Kit…

ETA: The kit sold out very quickly! However, here is the link to the stamp set in the kit…
*Ghostly Greeting Stamp Set can be found HERE

Simon Says Stamp has awesome cards kit each month but this one is a special edition and not part of the regular subscription. I love that this kit includes non card making items as well!

I decided to use the brown bags in the kit to create some treat bags for Halloween…

I stamped the images on to THIS tag cut from THIS cardstock using THIS ink. I heat embossed them using clear embossing powder to make the images and create barriers when I added THESE watercolors.

I added the googly eyes in the kit to the images for a playful look….

I cut strips of patterned paper from the kit to place behind the tag as well as THESE doilies. I attached the tag with a clothespin…

I also want to share a card example using the kit contents…

I applied THIS and THIS distress ink on to a piece of THIS cardstock and placed it behind a panel that I die-cut using THIS birch tree die. I sprayed some of THIS on top for some shine and added some of the enamel eyes behind the trees to give a spooky feel. I added watercolor to the images and finished off the card with a spider and sentiment that was cut from the patterned papers.

A closer look…

Oo, I like those glittery clothespins. The google eyes are so funny on the characters and are perfect for a goofy look. I LOVE the way you used that birch tree window die for the spooky forest on the card with the big eyes behind! Excellent choices!

I don't see the clothespins on your list. What's the brand, please, and where did you buy them? Thanks!

I absolutely am in love with the card you made using the die cut from Simon Says. Fantastic idea to use black paper for it. Your treat bags are to die for with the wack-o eyes on each kid's face 🙂 Great job.

So cute! I really like how you used strips of paper behind your tag and doily. Such a perfect way to add a pop of color and use up some scraps.
