Hello and welcome. I’m so excited to be joining Jennifer for the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge. I feel so blessed and honored to get to work with her on a weekly basis. Her talent is absolutely amazing…but her kindness? It makes my heart want to burst. She is always thinking of others and trying to brighten their day. I’m so proud of her and I appreciate her creating this challenge to add more kindness into this world. Kindness matters and she is a perfect example of that. Love you Jennifer!
So my favorite way to share kindness is to create Sunshine Boxes. I’ve put together a video sharing two boxes I made….
The first box is for a friend of mine who needed a little pick me up. I recycled a box from a recent My Favorite Things order because of the fun text on the packaging…
I used yellow duct tape to hide any text that I didn’t want to be seen and adhered a piece of patterned paper on top to write the recipient’s address on. When the box is opened, the recipient is greeted with THIS card…

Remember, there are no rules when creating Sunshine Boxes. You can go elaborate or really simple. It’s the thought that counts! I hope this inspires you to create a sunshine box. Remember to use #sharehandmadekindness when sharing on social media.

Thanks for the great idea! My favorite ways to spread kindness are through homemade cards, sharing sweet treats, and making meals for friends/neighbors in need. This holiday season I'm thinking about buying poinsettias for my neighbors and leaving them on their porch with a card.

My favorite way to spread kindness is making cards. I also like to give some baked goods to people in the neighborhood every so often..

Wow, what an awesome idea – I think this might be my new favorite idea for spreading kindness!
I like to leave small decorated bags with a little gift tag on front door doorknobs, with just small things inside depending on the situation – maybe a cupcake, maybe a small gift card…
And while not a crafty kindness, we keep dog treats here all the time for visiting dogs and when friends lose their furkids there is always a donation to the shelter and a note to our friend on their loss; we lost our doxsie after 18 years a few years back and someone did this for us and it made me feel so good knowing other poor animals were being helped we started doing it as well.
But sunshine boxes — really really love this idea and am definitely starting one today!

I love your little packages if sunshine. My favourite way of spreading love is by being positive in everyday life – greeting people cheerfully, paying genuine compliments, being thankful for everything that people do for you and voicing that thankfulness in a honest way, not rushing to be first in line at the checkout – all the things that I love when people do for me!

I like to send these type of boxes to friends going through chemo/cancer. It really brightens up their day and lets them know I am thinking about them! I love the yellow color because it is so happy!! Great job!

So nice. I'm from Denmark – and unfortnallty we don't send a lot to each other. 🙁 That's is not something many do here in Denmark – one thing is that the stamps is very expencive (just to send a ordinary card will after new year cost almost $3 today it's close to $1,5.
I have put a box together to an american friend I have with some danish christmas goodies – but for that parcel wich way under 2 kg it will cost med $66 to ship it to US. So that is on explanations why danish not do that a lot – the other thing is bustle 🙁
I try to send birthdays card and christmas card – but I don't get a lot in recturn 🙁

Wonderful examples of sunshine boxes! I need to send one to my friend in another state who adores all things Dr. Pepper. I'm sure I could find all kinds of stuff! I like to spread kindness by keeping up with friends through a quick text to let them know I am thinking about them. We are all so busy nowadays that I find a simple quick text does not go unnoticed!

Wow Heather this is so inspiring and what a wonderful way to brighten someone's day…love it! I love RAK's – just a note or card and a new stationery item popped in a workmate's pigeon hole or sent to a friend in the mail.

I have given a box full of sunshine before, it was fun to give that out. I do love filling up small boxes with goodies for a random family I know and make sure to even include something for their pets 🙂

Love, love, love this idea, Heather! My sister had a health scare about a month ago so with testing and waiting for results, we have been on pins and needles. I so want to send her a Sunshine box but now realize I don't have any stamps that would be appropriate for this. Your giveaway would definitely fit the bill. Thanks for the chance to win and also for your inspiration. You are one lucky gal to work with Jennifer ~ she's awesome! My way of sending sunshine is to send cards to people just because or bring them treats.
