Hi, crafty friends. Today’s post is a little different. I’m not only sharing cards I made but the gifts I’m giving with these cards. I created all these for my son’s teachers for an end of school year/teacher appreciation gift…
To create this card, I cut THIS die from several colors of cardstock. I used all the teacher’s favorite colors. I embossed the panels with THIS embossing folder and then adhered THIS pocket on top with THESE movie die cuts. I finished off the card by stamping a sentiment from the Movie Night stamp set from My FT on one of THESE dies.
Here’s a closer look at each card…
I added some of THIS to details of the die cut to make them shine…
It fits a gift card perfectly…
These cards were just part of the gifts I created for my son’s teachers. I added them to these baskets….
In the basket, I included movie candy, popcorn bowls and canister, as well as their favorite drink…
I wanted to mention that I like to do this on a budget so I’m always thinking ahead of time to find deals. These deals were found at Target (my favorite place)…
I did a different color for each basket. I used each teacher’s favorite color.
The baskets were actually Easter baskets and I got them after Easter at 70% off. The same goes for the bowls and popcorn canister. They were actually 90% off because they were a Valentine’s Day item. Because of the deals, I was able to create these baskets under thirty dollars which includes the gift card.
I do have another option that is even more cost effective. These plastic popcorn containers (usually around $1) are also a great option…
I hope this has given you a great idea for a gift for the end of the school year. I created these for teachers but would make a great gift for anyone. I plan on giving this to all the teenagers in my family for their birthday.
Thanks for visiting today. Happy Gift Giving!
