Valentine Photo Cards plus SSS Blog Hop

Hi there. Today I’m taking part in a fun blog hop celebrating Simon Says Stamp’s Hey Love release

THIS heart die from the release creates a fun window that I thought would be perfect for a photo…

I used my son and niece’s school photo to create a girl and boy version of the card.
I started by adhering the blue/pink rectangle to the gray rectangle before cutting out the heart. This way it cuts through both pieces and when you flip open the heart you have gray on the larger heart and the matching color on the small heart inside. I embossed a sentiment created from THIS and THIS set in the lower right corner.
I lightly traced inside the opening on to a 3.75 x 4.75 white card base so I could easily line up the die to make another cut. This creates a window so you can see inside the card where I attached the pic…

I finished off the card with some enamel heart embellishments. These valentine cards would be fun for any child to pass out at school. I hope this has inspired you to add a photo to your Valentine cards.

You can see the entire Hey Love release HERE.

Oh my gosh, these are the cutest cards ever! No lie, the cutest cards ever! Your son is so cute I want to give him a hug and sit down and play with him! LOL I'm a substitute preschool teacher so that's why I love your son and niece too. Photo cards are great and you made 2 great ones. I also see you used a die cutter, something I don't have but would like to have someday. To bad the $25 won't buy me one! LOL
You probably don't know this but you are the only person on this hop who used photos. Go you! Very unique cards and adorable kids. I hope I win something and I am so excited to be able to see your son and niece.
