Hello and welcome. I’m sharing a card today using THIS adorable new card kit from Simon Says Stamp…

Here’s the card I created…
I started by cutting a panel using THIS die and covering it with THIS distress ink. I sprayed some water using THIS sprayer to create water spots and add some subtle interest. After stamping the sentiment from the kit’s stamp set using my MISTI, I stamped the coffee image on to a piece of white cardstock and two patterned papers in the kit. After coloring most of the image with Copics, I cut out parts of the image from the patterned papers and paper pieced them on to the piece. I love how all of the patterned papers coordinate so well together. I used THIS xyron sticker maker to adhere the image on the panel. I added the adorable little sugar cube to the coffee and then applied glossy accents on top for a realistic look. I also added a smiley face (from the stamps set) to the cup as well as a die-cut spoon to complete the scene.
I created a mat for the piece using the plaid patterned paper in the kit and gave the edges some definition using THIS border die. I didn’t have a square die-cut that size so using border dies to create a frame is a great way to stretch your supplies. The kit also comes with some fun embellishments. I chose four epoxy circles to adhere to the edges to anchor the piece and draw the eye in.
Thanks for joining me today. You can find more information about the kit HERE.
