Make Magic Release

Hello there, crafty friends. Simon Says Stamp has a new release HERE and it is simply magical. I created this card using some of the new goodies…

I started by creating the background. I applied water all over a piece of watercolor card stock and added in purple and blue watercolors from my gansai tambi set. While it was still wet, I sprinkled on salt. I just used regular table salt. After it was dry, I brushed the salt off. It leaves a really cool texture behind. I also flicked on white paint (mixed with a bit of water) for even more interest. I added a white mat behind it and adhered it to a top folding note card. I die-cut a piece of holographic paper using the Stitched Banners die and die-cut the Magic Stars die in the center, leaving the stars in place. I added the magical word from the Magical to Me stamp set and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I finished off the sentiment with the Magical Wishes pre printed sentiment strips.

Here’s a closer look…

I also silver heat embossed the flap of the envelope with the Magic Stars background stamp to tie everything together…

Thank you for visiting today. I’m thankful for the time you spend here.
