Summer Cards for Teachers

Hello, crafty friends. I’ve been busy making end of the school year gifts for teachers. I created some cards for my son’s teachers…

I started by creating the sun rays in the background using Buttercup ink and a blending brush through a sun ray stencil. Next, I die-cut the Big Picture Book Bear dies and bodies using two different browns. This way I could use the left over pieces for the next card. It’s a great trick when you are mass producing.

I die-cut the ice-cream cone top from glitter paper and added some googly eyes. I also die-cut some sunglasses (an older Simon Says Stamp die) and used holographic paper for the lenses.

I white heat embossed a sentiment on black strips from an older Simon stamp set (Vacation Time).

I plan to add a gift card to our local ice cream shop to the inside.

Here’s a closer look…

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope this inspires you to get creative with your die-cuts and spoil those teachers!
