Stitching on Cards

Hi, crafty friends. I love the look of stitching on cards. It gives such a handmade feel to any project but I’m not that great at it. That’s why I’m happy to see products like THIS. It makes the process so much easier. I used it to create this Christmas card…

I started by stamping THIS background on kraft card stock. I die-cut it using THIS die to create a stitched border frame. I die-cut THIS stitched tree die from the center and stitched the holes with green thread. I went back and forth several times to fill the tree shape. I stamped the sentiment from THIS stamp set under the tree and added a few of THESE red enamel dots to resemble ornaments. I added a star to the tree using THIS die and adhered the entire piece to a red note card.

I hope this inspires you to add some stitching to your next card.

Thanks for joining me today. Happy crafting.

I love this card! I already have the Mod Trees background stamp but I was on the fence about the Stitched Christmas Tree. Not any more LOL, I’m off to order that one now. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration!
