Snowflake Gatefold Card

Howdy, crafty friends. Today’s card was so fun to make…

I started by white heat embossing THIS snow background. I applied a couple of Distress Oxide Inks to THIS mat and sprayed the ink heavily with water. I laid the background in the ink and dried the first layer. I repeated the process and then sprayed heavily with THIS shimmer spritz to add some shine. I cut the background in half and adhered it to a gate fold created using two of THESE cards adhered together.

For the focal point, I die-cut THIS glitter card stock using THIS die and adhered THIS snowflake as well as THIS sentiment. I adhered the circle piece only to the right side of the card so it will open easily. I also dry embossed the same snowflake die on to the envelope flap to tie everything together…

That’s all for today. I hope you have a great day.

Cool idea, very cool card! I haven’t tried a gatefold card yet, this just might be the one I try. Love the added touch of the dry embossed envelope to match. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration.
