Simon Says Stamp Good Vibes Release

Hello, crafty friends. Simon Says Stamp’s newest release is now available! I have a card to share that uses THIS new alphabet die set…

I like alphabet dies because you can customize your sentiment. I just got back from a beach vacation and was super inspired by a towel they had at a local surf shop…

Since the sentiment I chose was long, I needed to create a longer card. My card base was created from THIS card stock. It measures 3.75 x 8.75. It fits perfectly in a standard business letter envelope. I cut THIS watercolor card stock down a bit smaller than the card and taped it down to a hard board using THIS tape. I applied clean water all over the card stock and then applied THESE watercolors in rainbow order. I’m a big fan of these watercolors because they are creamy and the colors are so vivid. Once it was dry, I removed the tape leaving a white border around the entire piece.

I cut the alphabet letters from THIS card stock. I knew I wanted to cut multiple letters and stack them for dimension so by using a heavier weight cardstock, I didn’t have to cut them as many times. I did two cuts for each letter. I coated the letters with THIS for some shine and added two sun images (from a SSS set that is no longer available). THIS t-ruler helped me keep the letters straight when adhering them down.

Here’s a closer look…

I did a longer sentiment but the sky’s the limit with alphabet dies. You could even spell out the recipient’s name to personalize it even more. THIS number die set from the release is a good companion to these alphabet dies.

I’ve linked to the entire release below as well as the supplies used on today’s card. Thanks for joining me. Happy Crafting!
