SSS DieCember Release Blog Hop

Hi, friends. Happy DieCember! I will be sharing four cards today featuring Speech Bubble Windows created with THIS new die set…

I die-cut THIS, THIS, THIS, and THIS word from foil paper and cut the shadow from black cardstock. I die-cut one of THESE speech bubbles from the center of some of THIS new glitter cardstock and four top folding white note cards. I adhered a piece of acetate on top of the opening and then adhered the glitter cardstock on top. I adhered the words on top of the acetate. All of the die-cut words had shadow dies included except for the green card. To create the shadow, I laid the die face down on some black cardstock and traced around it. The die itself is a bit larger than the die-cut so you get a perfect shadow. It’s a great way to stretch your dies.

Speaking of stretching your dies, this is how I created the white bubble frame around the window…

I traced the outside of the speech bubble and fussy cut it out. Then I taped the die inside that shape and ran it through my die-cut machine. It creates the perfect frame. You could always use the larger speech bubble in the set, but I wanted a thin frame.

I like how the cards turned out, but I wanted to share some ideas of what you could put inside each card to utilize that window…

IDEA #1: USE A PHOTO

IDEA #2: GIFT CARD

THIS die makes including a gift card super easy.

IDEA #3: ADD A DIE-CUT/STAMPED SENTIMENT

IDEA #4: CREATE A SHAKER CARD
