Hello. I thought it would be fun to do something a little different on my blog. I want to feature 1 stamp set and show 5 different ways to use it other than on a card. I’m featuring THIS stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. In case you missed it…

Today is Day Four and I created some simple decorated egg holders….
These were so simple to create. I started by stamping, coloring, and cutting out the images from the stamp set. I cut a 1 inch x 6 inch piece of cardstock and formed a circle shape around the bottom of the egg and adhered it together, creating an egg holder. I added some foam tape to the back of the images and adhered them to the cardstock strips. Here’s a closer look…
These simple egg holders would make great place cards or napkin rings too!
Now, about the eggs. These are the eggs I purchased at Walmart…
My son has an egg allergy and I was on the hunt for some fake eggs that we could dye together. I found these and tested out a pack with my Distress Inks. The eggs come with a dye but I thought it would be fun to see what they would look like with Distress Inks. I LOVE the results…
I applied various colors of Distress Ink on to THIS craft sheet and then spritzed with water. I painted on the ink with a paintbrush. After it was dry I flicked on droplets of water and then dabbed them away with a paper towel, creating a fun texture on the eggs. I think it would be fun to draw on polka dots or lines with water to create a fun pattern on top of the Distress Ink. I will definitely be making more and having my little guy help!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll be back tomorrow with another idea using this stamp set.
