I’m so excited about this kit because not only does it have adorable products in it, but it also includes an intro kit of lights. Real lights for lighting up your projects! Yay! I had to try them out and created this card with the kit contents…
First, I used THIS rectangle die set and cut it from a piece of patterned paper in the kit. I haven’t cut apart the dies yet, so it creates perfectly spaced frames. Since the patterned paper is double sided, I alternated colors as I framed in the image.
I stamped the adorable reindeer from the stamp set using THIS Copic friendly ink and colored him in using my Copic markers. I finished off the card front by stamping a sentiment underneath. I wanted to keep the card clean and simple because I wanted to keep the focus on the interactive part of the card…the lights!
So I have to admit, I was excited about the lights but also a bit intimidated. I read the instructions and also watched THIS extremely helpful video by Jennifer McGuire. It was a life saver and made the process so much easier.
I did snap a few pics of what the light portion of the card looked like underneath before I attached it behind the front panel…

… Rudolph’s nose lights up! Isn’t that cool!? I will include a note inside the card to the recipient instructing them where to press for a fun surprise!
