Today, we are featuring products from the new release called, “My Favorite”. Speaking of my favorite, THIS die from the release is my favorite. I used it to create this card…
Instead of die-cutting with it, I lightly inked it up with black ink and used THIS embossing mat in my die-cutting machine to create a faux letterpress look. I used the impression as a guide to trace the outer edge of the letters with THESE markers. I used a paintbrush and water to pull the color into the rest of the letter, creating a watercolor look…
I used THIS die to create the speech bubble and THIS die to create the black heart. For the background, I used THIS stencil and applied some of THIS embossing paste on top. After the hearts were dry, I colored random ones with the same markers.

Great idea. My grandson is all about 'rainbow' colors so this would be a great card for me to make him….if only I had those dies!! TFS.

What a neat card – love the bright colors against the black! And the hearts are a nice added touch.

Awesome card and cool techniques! I didn't realise you could colour embossing paste with markers (at first I thought you adhered die cut hearts), very good to know!

This card pops! Thanks for showing another way to use the letters die!

Oh my gosh, your card is so something I would make if I could. I don't have a die cutter so I can't do the cut outs of the words but I think I have letter stencils and I have tons of letter stickers so I could do something similar. I have a heart punch so I could have hearts on my paper like yours. I'm going to save this if you don't mind and try making it. It might not be the same but you've inspired me to make something beautiful. Thank you so much!

You had a lot of really neat ideas for this card. I couldn't believe you made the background paper, it looks like bought cardstock! I'm definitely gonna try this technique out…really cool!
