SSS My Favorite Blog Hop

Hello. Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop..

Today, we are featuring products from the new release called, “My Favorite”. Speaking of my favorite, THIS die from the release is my favorite. I used it to create this card…

Instead of die-cutting with it, I lightly inked it up with black ink and used THIS embossing mat in my die-cutting machine to create a faux letterpress look. I used the impression as a guide to trace the outer edge of the letters with THESE markers. I used a paintbrush and water to pull the color into the rest of the letter, creating a watercolor look…

I used THIS die to create the speech bubble and THIS die to create the black heart. For the background, I used THIS stencil and applied some of THIS embossing paste on top. After the hearts were dry, I colored random ones with the same markers.

I found that even though you used a pre dominantly black background , the card still looks very colorful

How clever and creative. I love how the word colors match the tiny hearts. Using the bubble die was a great idea. Well done.

Oh wow, what a fab colourful card! I didn't know you could use a die as a template, so I'm gonna give that a go … thanks!
