Distress Oxide Ink Backgrounds

Howdy, crafty friends. I’ve been busy mass producing cards again…

For these cards, I ink blended several background panels with a variety of Distress Oxide Inks on THIS watercolor card stock. I sprayed them with water to activate the ink and create some texture. After they were dry, I die-cut a large heart from the center with one of THESE dies. I kept those ink blended hearts for a future card project. I love cards that can create multiple card designs. This is a great two for one technique!

From that same die set, I die-cut smaller hearts from purple, green, and blue card stock. I stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp set on the heart and adhered the background inked frame as well as the hearts to one of THESE note cards. I finished off the card with some of THESE sequins.

Here’s a closer look…

I hope this inspires you to make some fun inky backgrounds.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day.
