Out of This World Release Blog Hop

Hello again, crafty friends. I’m so excited to be part of THIS Blog Hop celebrating THIS new release. I have two cards to share today where I created shaker cards from cover plate die cuts…
To create these cards, I cut THIS and THIS cover plate from white cardstock several times (6 times for each card). I adhered each layer together on top of a white card base.
For the last (top) layer, I ink blended four colors of Distress Oxide ink. I spritzed it with THIS shimmer spray for some sparkle and shine. Before adhering on top of the stacked layers, I filled in the wells with tiny embellishments and adhered a piece of acetate on top. Once that was dry, I adhered the ink blended layer on top. I added sentiments from THIS stamp set.

Here’s a closer look at each card…

I hope this inspires you to create a shaker card using a cover plate die.

There is much more inspiration to see…

I love your cards. I hadn’t thought of building up the bases for the purpose of filling with sequins or such. Your cards came out beautiful and are inspiring.
