Even More Let’s Chill Release Inspiration

Howdy, crafty friends. I have a mini slimline card to share that features a unique inlaid die-cutting technique…

I started by stamping the images and sentiment from the Beachy Keen stamp set using black pigment ink and adding clear heat embossing on top and heat setting. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next, I die-cut the Mini Slimline Lattice die from distress watercolor cardstock and swiped on three colors of Distress Oxide Inks and sprayed heavily with Shimmer Spritz. I love the shine it gives.

Once it was completely dry, I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images from the background. I started with the largest image in the back (the umbrella). I placed tape over the die-cut opening after it was cut and then popped the umbrella image inside. I continued to die-cut the remaining images and repeated the process. This gives a really cool inlaid look. I learned this technique in THIS Online Card Classes class.

I adhered the piece to a mini slimline card panel and added die-cut hearts cut from the Mini Hearts Party die from black glossy cardstock.

Thank you so much for visiting today. Happy crafting!
