New Distress Color: Prize Ribbon

Hello, crafty friends. The “Prize Ribbon” goes to Tim Holtz for revealing a gorgeous new Distress color today…

Here’s the card I created using some of the new Prize Ribbon products…

I wanted to create a background made from the new Prize Ribbon products so I used the Wave Builders Background Stamp from Simon Says Stamp. I chose this stamp because you can stamp the layers individually to build the background. Here is a key to what I did for each layer of stamping…

I like to stamp on 6×6 sized card stock and then cut it down to fit my project. I cut down the panel to an A2 size using the Basic Rectangles dies from Simon Says Stamp. I like to use those instead of my trimmer because I can lay it down on my project and see what part I want to cut down. It helps with the visualization. To finish the card, I cut the Anchor die from sparkly silver card stock as well as a few from white and adhered them together to add dimension. I silver heat embossed a sentiment from the Be a Mermaid Stamp Set and added a few embellishments to resemble bubbles.

Here’s a closer look…
