Hello there, crafty friends. I’m back with day four of inspiration week using THIS release from Simon Says Stamp…
How cute is that caramel apple die!? I started by stamping THIS background on a 4.25 x 4.25 square note card. I rounded the bottom corners with THIS and added a strip of THIS patterned paper. For the red border on the sides, I die-cut a rectangle stitched frame die and cut strips from it. I stamped the speech bubble from THIS stamp set, cut it out, and stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp set.
I die-cut THIS caramel apple from white, green, red, and kraft card stock. I did double layers on the red and green parts and three layers on the caramel section. To give the kraft card stock a realistic caramel look, I applied Versamark ink on top, added clear embossing powder, and heat set it. I did this a couple of times for a thick look. I also added THIS to the red apple portion for some shine. I adhered it down to the patterned paper with the speech bubble and a few enamel hearts.
I adhered the square card to a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of white card stock for something different. It opens only by the kraft card. I adhered THIS decorative square on the inside for a finished look…
I hope you try adding a smaller card to a flat panel for a unique opening on your next project.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a great day.
