Cheer and Joy Release Blog Hop-Day One

Hi there, crafty friends. I have three cards to share that is all about die-cuts. I’m using products from THIS new release.

There are so many things you can do with your dies. I really like to create backgrounds with them. My favorite is to do white on white. This would work with any color, but I love the simplicity of the white on white. It adds so much texture without being too distracting.

Another way I like to use my dies is to cut them from THIS toner paper. You add foil on top and run it through a laminator/MINC  machine. I added pops of color with foiled die-cuts on the white backgrounds.

For this card…

I die-cut THIS snowflake and used THIS foil for the center snowflake. I added a sentiment from one of THESE printed sheets as well as one of THESE hearts.

For the next card…

I die-cut THIS foliage die and used THIS and THIS foil. I die-cut one of THESE stitched ovals and stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp set on it. I added some of THIS on top of the berries for some shine.

For the last card…

I die-cut THIS reindeer border die. I used THIS foil and stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp set.

I rounded the corners of all the cards with THIS.

I hope this inspires you to create a tone-on-tone die-cut background as well as adding foil to your die-cuts.
