You are Loved Blog Hop

Hi, crafty friends. I’m sharing several cards today as part of the blog hop celebrating THIS release from Simon Says Stamp.

Recently, I was in a major creative slump. I decided to just play and create some backgrounds with alcohol ink…

Since THIS yupo paper is 5×7, I decided to cut each background in half and create some 4 bar sized cards. Here’s a closer look at each card…

For the first card…

I created the background using THIS applicator tool and THIS blending solution along with the alcohol inks. I lightly pounced the color on, turning the applicator back and forth. I die-cut a circle from the center and added the “you” from THIS die and THIS glitter paper. I stamped the rest of the sentiment using THIS stamp set on a strip of card stock. I finished it off with hearts cut with THIS die and the same glitter paper. Adding THIS on top gave them lots of dimension.

For the second card…

I created the background by just adding random drops of alcohol inks on top of one another. I also added a touch of gold with THIS fixative. I die-cut THIS tag die using THIS gold card stock. Clean and simple.

For the third card…

I created the background by swiping the color on with THIS applicator tool. I die-cut THIS die from it and two pieces of colored card stock. I stamped sentiments from THIS stamp set on the hearts to resemble candy hearts.

For the fourth card…

I created the background by layering the alcohol inks and blowing the ink around with air from THIS tool. Since there was so many layers, the piece was a bit sticky. I took advantage of that and laid a piece of THIS foil on top. the sticky parts grabbed the foil and left bits of gold here and there on the background. I die-cut the “LOVE” out of THESE toner sheets and applied the same gold foil to them using THIS machine. I finished it off with a gold heat embossed sentiment from THIS stamp set on a banner created from THIS die.

For the last card…

To create the background, I added some of THIS to the kraft mat I was working on and swiped the paper through the leftover alcohol ink for a softer look. I used a left over alcohol background piece and die-cut THIS die from it. I die-cut the shadows from white card stock three times and adhered them all together for dimension.

I used THESE 4 bar card bases for all of the cards.
