Distress Oxide Ombre Backgrounds

Howdy, crafty friends. I’m sharing three cards today that feature a Distress Oxide Ombre background…

To create these backgrounds, I chose three different shades in each color family and inked up THIS background with them. I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped it on to a piece of THIS card stock. I chose this particular background because it had a lot of solid areas to it. I stamped a sentiment from THIS stamp set on THIS banner. I stamped the same sentiment on each banner, but chose a different coordinating sentiment underneath. I really like stamp sets that gives lots of options.

I finished the cards off by roughing up the edges of the card with THIS distressing tool. I also die-cut a heart using THIS die and adhered one under each sentiment. I added THIS and THIS on top for some shine.

I hope you’re inspired to create an Ombre background.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Happy crafting!

What a beautiful ombre in all these shades with Distress Oxides!! I have ordered the Damask background stamp and will be ordering the So Loved stamps next month. I already have the Distress Oxides so I can’t wait to try your techniques for this and make a set of these cards. Thank you for sharing these and for the always awesome inspiration Heather!
