Ghost Shaker Card

Hello! Today I’m sharing a shaker card featuring THIS adorable stamp set designed by Cathy Zielske for Simon Says Stamp. Isn’t it adorable!?

I created this shaker card a bit differently than I normally do after watching THIS video from Jennifer McGuire. She is a creative genius! It makes creating a shaker card so much easier and I love the support the cardstock gives instead of the fun foam. If you haven’t watched it yet, you must. I will be creating my shaker cards from now on this way.

THIS frame die was perfect for a shaker card. Any frame die would work well for this technique. I stamped the images on a piece of THIS acetate using THIS ink. My ink pad was REALLY dry so I had to stamp it several times and it still wasn’t stamping completely. However, I stopped because I really liked the look it was giving…a vintage, spooky feel. For the shaker bits, I used some old glitter I’ve had forever from Doodlebug. You could use any glitter or even sequins or seed beads. I mounted the shaker on to one of THESE 4 Bar Note cards.

Thanks for stopping by. You’re Bootiful! 🙂

So fun Heather! Love the glitters – great to use up those unusual colours too! I watched the video too and made some shakers in the same way using some glitters I had stashed away! I do like the firmness of the card frames but found myself wanting an electric die cutting machine!
