SSS You Have My Heart Blog Hop

Hi there. I’m excited and honored to be part of the SSS You Have My Heart Blog Hop. Here is the card I created using some of the product from THIS awesome release….

I thought I would share three technique/tips that I used when creating this card…

TIP #1 STRETCH THE SIZE OF YOUR DIES
I wanted to use THIS die for the sentiment. However, it was a bit large for where I wanted to place it. By die-cutting it from some black fun foam, I was able to shrink it down in size by applying heat to it with my heat gun. This gives you a lot more mileage from your dies.

TIP #2 COMBINE DIES FOR A WHOLE NEW LOOK
I cut THIS scalloped die out of some black cardstock and then placed THIS rectangle die in the center and ran it through my die-cut machine, creating an open frame. I love using multiple dies together to create a whole new image.

TIP #3 ADDING DIMENSION
I just love those big bold eyes on the bird images from THIS set. I decided to stamp an extra set, cut them out and adhere them back into place with some of THIS foam adhesive. I love how the dimension draws attention to the eyes…

Brilliant! I didn't know that fun foam would shrink when heated– great idea for dimension and stretching dies.
