Cards for Kids-Maze Card

Hello! I love making cards for kids and I think any kid loves receiving mail!

As soon as I saw THIS stamp set, I immediately thought of my little boy, Aiden. He absolutely loves the water and I wanted to create a card to give to his cousin-who is his swimming buddy.

I stamped the little boy image using THIS ink and colored him in with Copic and Spectrum Noir Markers. I added a coating of glossy accents to his flippers, the duck’s bill, and the goggles. I used THESE coordinating dies to cut him out and the water splash image.

I’ve had that maze embossing folder for a long time (I think I got it at my local craft store-can’t remember) and embossed it on to a piece of Neenah White Cardstock. If you don’t have anything similar, you can do a Google search on free maze printables and use one of those. I’ve done that before and it was a hit! I used THIS die to create the arrow showing where to begin the maze…

I wanted the boy image to be removed easily. My nephew, who is receiving this card, is very creative and I know he would like to use this for one of his many art projects. I used a piece of THIS velcro to attach the image so it can be easily removed…

Here’s a peek at the inside of the card…

I found a pack of mini markers (two markers are attached with one lid) in the dollar bin at Target and thought they would be perfect to include in this card to use on the maze. I adhered it with THIS washi tape-so it can be removed easily. Also, I used THIS stamp set to create the custom greeting inside.
I hope this inspires you to make a card for a kid in your life.
