If you’re unfamiliar with DIEcember, it’s a month long party hosted by Simon Says Stamp celebrating dies and die-cutting. I’m sharing a project today that was created entirely from die-cuts…

I wanted to make my son a book to hold all of our family member’s phone numbers so he can start learning them in case of an emergency. I die-cut THIS die from a variety of colored card stock to make the bases. For the cover, I die-cut THIS phone die and THIS hello die. The hello die comes with the word die and the shadow die. I just used the word die on today’s project.

Each page is the same design. I added a small photo for easy recognition on THIS stitched rectangle piece.

I die-cut THESE numbers for the phone numbers.

Here’s a tip for adding numbers or letter die-cuts. I laid out the number dies on my grid mat to make sure they were spaced out correctly and straight. I laid a piece of THIS tape on top to pick them up and added adhesive on the back. Then I lay them into place using THIS t-ruler. After the glue is dry, I gently peel off the tape. This really makes for a quick and easy process.

After the pages were complete, I placed them in THESE laminating pouches and ran them through THIS laminator. I trimmed them out and rounded the corners so they weren’t sharp. I punched a hole in the corner of each and placed them on a book ring.

I hope this inspires you to create a project using all die-cuts.
