Sunny Days Ahead Release

Hi there, crafty friends. Simon Says Stamp just released THESE products and I have a trio of cards to share showcasing some of the new goodies…

I started by die-cutting THIS tulip six times from THIS card stock. I cut two pieces for each card. For the bottom piece, I left all the die-cut pieces in their spot by adding a bit of scotch tape to the back. I removed all of the inner pieces of the top layer die-cut. I colored the die-cuts with Distress Oxide inks mixed with water and painted it on. I used darker shades for the top layer and lighter shades for the bottom layer to add some definition.

I created a background using single leaf images from THIS stamp set using THIS ink.

I adhered the tulip die-cut on top as well as a stamped sentiment from THIS stamp set. I finished off the cards with a strip of coordinating card stock along the bottom as well as some Nuvo drops.

A closer look…

You can see the entire release HERE.

Stay tuned because I will be sharing lots more projects with this release very soon.

I’ve linked to the entire Sunny Days Ahead Release below as well as products used on today’s cards.

I love how you used the tulip background stamp. Using such beautiful colors brought it from the background to the foreground. I have the stamp, youve provided me with new inspiration for using it differently.
    Thanks
    Sandy C.
