Hello! Have you seen the new card kit that was released today from Simon Says Stamp?

As soon as I saw the life preserver image, I knew I wanted to have it “floating” in a window. I heat embossed the image on a piece of watercolor cardstock and colored it using THIS marker. I added glossy accents on top for a shiny look. I tied the jute that comes in the kit around the life preserver and adhered the ends between the layers of the window. I created a window with THESE dies.
I adhered a blue circle stamped with the wave image behind it for a pop of color and added a few dots of glossy accents around the card to resemble water…

I stamped the large sentiment repeatedly on a piece of watercolor cardstock uisng THIS ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. I die-cut a circle from THIS and THIS die set. On the white circle, I embossed the paper clip that comes in the kit (after inking it with THIS ink) using THIS mat and my die-cut machine. This gives a faux letterpress look.
I stamped the solid heart in the kit using THIS new ink and adhered it using THIS adhesive. I finished off the card by stamping a coordinating sentiment under the anchor and adhering the panels to a blue note card made from THIS beautiful cardstock. Here’s a closer look…
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week.

wonderful cards…love the images in this stamp set and how you used them both as stand along images and also to create your own background.
