Hello and Happy Friday. Simon Says Stamp’s latest release called, Hey Love is now available. I know Christmas isn’t here yet, but Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it. I love that these products can be used all year round. You can see the entire collection HERE.
I made a quick card using two of the new products….
THIS die and THIS stamp set are my favorites from the release. I die-cut the clipping heart die using THIS watercolor cardstock lined with THIS adhesive on the back. Having the adhesive on the back made adhering this intricate die-cut so quick and easy. I also like that I now have all of the positive heart shapes with adhesive on the back for another project!
After adhering it down to another piece of watercolor paper, I pressed it down firmly with a bone folder to make sure it was secure before adding watercolor. I applied several ink colors of Distress Ink on my craft sheet and sprayed them with water to create the watercolor.
After applying the colors in rainbow order and letting it dry, I applied more watercolor on top to intensify the color. I stamped the greeting from THIS stamp set using THIS ink. Once everything was dry, I applied some of THIS inside of each heart for some shine. It’s similar to glossy accents but has sparkle inside and is a bit thinner, which makes it perfect for filling up shapes like this…
I’ll be back soon with more projects from this fun release. Stay tuned.
P.S. Have you seen my previous Quick Crafty Tip about Watercoloring HERE? It made switching between all of these colors easy on this card.
