Hello. It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

STAMPtember is here and I’m part of a fun blog hop today sharing some inspiration using THIS new stamp set.

It’s one of my top favorites from the release because of it’s playful design and style of font. I stamped a couple sentiments on white cardstock cut with THIS die. I colored in the images by adding water to Distress Oxide Inks to create a watercolor. (Click HERE to see a Quick Crafty Tip about this.)

I mounted the pieces on to a piece of black cardstock cut with THIS same stitched die set. I splattered the rest of the watercolor on to the black cardstock using a paintbrush. I LOVE that Distress Oxide inks have pigment ink properties so that it shows up on dark cardstock.

The great thing about the sentiments is that the words around the image are open. I decided to color one of them in using a black sharpie and the other using the Distress Oxide watercolor. I added THIS on top of each letter on both cards for some shine. I also stamped and colored the sentiments on another piece of cardstock so I could cut out the shaped portion and mount it with foam tape to add dimension.

Here’s a closer look….

It’s a simple technique that adds a lot to the card. I finished up the card with a sprinkling of sequins.

KEEP HOPPING GIVEAWAY Thanks so much for stopping by today.
