I’m a big fan of Tim Holtz and his products and in honor of that, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and played with some alcohol inks for the background…

Of course I had to use bright colors! I’m always worried about the mess, but it was fun! I applied THIS alcohol ink with THIS mixative on to my kraft sheet and then swiped THIS paper through it. I used THIS blending solution with THIS stencil to add a bit of faded layering.

On top, I applied THIS pearlized modeling cream with that same stencil to give is a snow look. I heat embossed the wreath image from THIS set using THIS silver embossing powder. I die-cut the image using THIS stitched circle die. To finish off the card, I added a silver mat cut from THIS paper and a black mat from THIS cardstock.

Here’s a closer look…

I hope this inspires you to step out of your comfort zone. Have fun playing and Happy STAMPtember!

Oh, and here’s a video from Tim showing you these great products and all the amazing projects for additional inspiration. Enjoy…
