Hello. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so I thought I’d share what I’m giving to my son’s preschool teachers. However, this would be a fun Valentine’s Day gift for anyone….

I saw THIS adorable idea from Pinterest and thought I would put my spin on it. I decided to create shaker hearts to adorn the front of the gift. I started with THESE dies and temporarily adhered the two largest hearts together. I used them to cut out the top piece and foam piece of the shaker. I used the largest heart alone for the back of the shaker. I applied THIS distress ink to the top heart and spritzed some water on to to add some texture. I adhered a piece of acetate behind it and then the foam piece. I applied THIS powder bag to the inside edges to prevent the shaker bits from sticking.

Next I added some heart sequins inside the heart and adhered the back piece on, sealing it shut. I die-cut THIS die from white cardstock and adhered on part of the sentiment on top of the acetate. I finished off the sentiment with THESE alphabet letters that were stamped with the same Distress Ink. I applied THIS on top for lots of shine and adhered the entire piece to the front of the popcorn holders.

Oh, I found the black and white popcorn from Target’s Dollar Spot awhile ago. That’s one tip I want to share…. If you’re out shopping and see something that may be great for a gift one day, get it and store it! I do this often and it’s been a lifesaver.

So you want to see what’s inside?

A bag of microwave popcorn, a soda pop, chocolate, and a Netflix coupon code.

I hope this inspires you to create a Valentine’s gift for someone special in your life.
