Hello. I thought it would be fun to do something a little different on my blog. I want to feature 1 stamp set and show 5 different ways to use it other than on a card. I’m featuring THIS stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. Today is Day Two and I’m sharing how to create embellishments for hair bows.(If you missed Day One, click HERE)

After purchasing a set of hair bows at Target…

I wanted to embellish them for my nieces. I thought it make cute Easter treats for them so I used the stamp set and stamped a few images on to THIS shrink plastic using Black Staz On ink. I colored the images using paint markers, cut them out and baked them in the oven (325 degrees for about three minutes). The images shrink down (about 70%) and become adorable mini sized embellishments that were perfectly sized for the hair bows. I attached them using a hot glue gun.

This was a simple project that would be fun to do with kids. The sky is the limit with these shrinky dinks…

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll be back tomorrow with another idea using this stamp set.
