Hello, crafty friends. Simon Says Stamp has a new release HERE and I wanted to share some cards I created using THIS new die. Now I don’t know about you but this year (2020) has been difficult. For me, it has started out on the wrong foot and only gotten worse. I have a few friends that feel the same way and wanted to make some cards that offer some encouragement and maybe a little giggle. I think it’s good to add humor to difficult situations…

For the backgrounds, I masked off a rectangle area with THIS tape and ink blended an ombre color combo using my Distress Inks. I added some water droplets for some texture and added THIS die-cut on top which I cut from white and black card stock. I added four layers on each card to give lots of dimension. I stamped sentiments from THIS and THIS stamp set along the bottom, added a black mat, and adhered it one of THESE card bases.

Here’s a closer look…

I hope this inspires you to add some humor to your next encouragement card. I think these cards would be perfect for high school seniors who are missing out on prom, graduation, etc. and need a bit of encouragement.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate your support.
