Beach Scene Card

Helo, crafty friends. I have a summer scene card to share today because I’m missing the beach…

To create this card, I started by applying Distress Oxide inks to one of THESE mats. I spritzed it with water and then laid a piece of watercolor cardstock on top of the ink to create a faux watercolor look. I also spritzed it with a bit of THIS for some sparkle and shine. Once dry, I adhered it to a side folding note card. For the sand, I tore a piece of kraft cardstock and added little dots of Copic Marker for some texture in the sand. I adhered it along the bottom of the card and rounded the two bottom corners. I stamped the images from THIS stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers. I adhered them to the background along with a sentiment from an older Simon stamp set called, Beachy Keen.

The shimmer on the card reminds me of sun rays at the beach…

I embossed the flap of the envelope with THIS embossing folder…

Thank you for visiting. Happy crafting!
