In My Heart Release Blog Hop-Day 1

Hello, crafty friends. Today’s cards are part of THIS Blog Hop celebrating THIS new release from Simon Says Stamp…

To create these cards, I started by die cutting THIS cover plate die from four pieces of cardstock. I used Eucalyptus, Honeycomb, Briar Rose, and Peacock from Concord & 9th. I popped out the pieces and adhered them inside each of the negative pieces, creating four different backgrounds. To make this process easier, I used THIS adhesive paper and covered the front of the note card to make it sticky. This way, I didn’t have to glue each piece individually and that saved me time. I rounded the corners of all four cards. I stamped THIS sentiment on coordinating cardstock, used THIS coordinating die to cut it out and then adhered it on each bird image.

For the envelop flap, I die cut the cover plate from vellum and then laid it over the flap, masked off any areas that I didn’t want to get inked, and applied ink through the “stencil” I created from the die.
